Health is affected by poverty and affects poverty. Health care needs of the people in our intervention areas are either ignored or over looked, despite the fact that the occupations these people are into are highly hazardous.

Chetanalaya organizes health talks, health awareness camps, general medial camps, specialized medical camps, eye camps and vaccination programmes in the community. Once these people get access to expert medical care, there would be a positive behaviour change and people would start seeking the expert advise in future also.

HIV AIDS awareness programmes are regularly conducted in the slums for the various target populations. Direct Observation and Treatment Centres are run by Chetanalaya and nearly 500 TB patients are medicated successfully.
